Crossings 2008

Hey guys, things are going great here in the state of Kentucky for the second summer in a row. We have finished our second week of camp. the staff is doing great, and it is always good to meet new people and to see how their talent and passion is displayed.

a cool thing from this past week is that i got to talk to some people in africa. Crossings ministries has a partnership with a school over there where a missions offering is taken at the end of the week of camp. all this money goes to provide school, clothes, and food for kids over there. i was just cool to get to talk to them and see that we are helping people halfway across the world. We had video and audio of the group, and it was cool that i got to be helping out in a little of the tech stuff and able to talk to them...makes my heart smile.

had some nice, i mean stinkin nice storms last night. couple guys and i went and watched the lightning. twas cool.

thanks for your prayers and thoughts, please continue to pray that God will change the hearts of the students that we minister to, that they will be safe, and that our hearts will be changed as well. truly i do think if a lot of you, and i hope that life is treating you well. hope to hear from yall sometime.

suprises

well, it has been a long time my friends. and yet i write to you on the eve of heading to a summer term in the great state of kentucky...well the week of. anyways, moving justin from college station to tyler...yadda yadda yadda...

watched ratatouille...by far an exceptional movie. not only a wholesome movie, but one that makes you laugh, cry...the whole gambit of emotions. suprisingly to find a movie where someone has to confront who they are and who they want to become is found within these frames. a figure who strives to be the best he is, and not only does he strive, he fights for it...

funny how i like it so much, and yet words do not adequately describe it...at least my words...and it still might not mean as much to you...

go ahead, watch it

life and the pursuit of happiness

man, it has truly been a long time in taking time to write. part of me just didnt have much to say, and yet a bit has happened since i last wrote.

granted, life is not quite so confusing now...but why is that? not so much as something to focus on...but someone. for those that do not know, laura and i are back together, and while life nor i, are perfect, i can still smile at the end of a long hard day of working for fisher (which more often than not is really not that hard, but enjoyable and comical to say the least. man he is a great guy).

rundown of what has happened

came home for thanksgiving
worked in fort worth for a little
came home for Christmas
went to houston to watch TCU U of H game (TCU Won)
hung with tripp and patrick
went with tripp to his new years eve party
played tennis
went to college station and saw justin and pants
came to tyler
left 3 or so days later to party in dallas for lindsey's b-day
worked in fort worth
did a lockin with richard (pretty fun)
more work in fort worth
got laura some electricity
more work
in tyler for the weekend walkin the dogs...

things seem easier, maybe not exactly what they should be, but something with feeling and emotion, and a heart beat. doesnt mean that dreams die, oh contraire they just grow more intense, and more often, better and different
